Wendy McGuinness

Wendy McGuinness is the founder and chief executive of the McGuinness Institute (previously the Sustainable Future Institute). Originally from the King Country, Wendy completed her secondary schooling at Hamilton Girls’ High School and Edgewater College. She then went on to study at Manukau Technical Institute (gaining an NZCC), Auckland University (BCom) and Otago University (MBA), as well as completing additional environmental papers at Massey University. As a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) specialising in risk management, Wendy has worked in both the public and private sectors. In 2004 she established the McGuinness Institute as a way of contributing to New Zealand’s long-term future. Wendy also sits on the boards of Futures Thinking Aotearoa and the Katherine Mansfield Birthplace.

 
 
 
 


Miriam White Miriam White has worked for the McGuinness Institute since 2006, and in 2008 completed a BDes (Honours) at Massey University in Wellington.

Alexandra Hollis joined the Institute in November 2016 to work alongside Wendy editing the third edition. She has a BA in English Literature and a MA in Creative Writing from Victoria University.
